The Company

Predix Communications (Pty) Ltd is an ideas lab and software development company, focussed primarily on personalisation. Predix was founded in February 2000 by Dr Stephen Hall, who had previously developed the award-winning ScoreLine system, one of the first successful applications of Internet 'push' technology in South Africa. Additional start-up capital was subsequently obtained from InterAlios, an investment company, which is now a 50% stakeholder in Predix.

The Business

Predix creates personalisation systems unlike any other. At the heart of its applications is the Cognito software engine, which is designed to store and manipulate complex personalisation information. Launched in May 2001, VeriClip is the first commercial application of the Cognito engine.
